EMEA hosted the launch meeting of the Forward-looking Learning Hub on 19 September 2019 in Barcelona. Representatives of EMEA, the Euro-Mediterranean Network for Economic Studies (EMNES) and INTREPID (a 32-country network aiming at better understanding how to achieve more efficient and effective interdisciplinary research in Europe) participated to discuss and agree on the steps of implementation of the Forward-looking Learning Hub.
The Forward-looking Learning Hub is an initiative to answer to the need of Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) dialogues using the Transition and Transformation (T&T) model combining future thinking and knowledge co-creation into one “meta-model” of participatory foresight process aimed to co-develop innovative education material and learning processes. The main objective of the learning hub is to build forward looking capacity to drive change in the present. It will work by matching future thinking and knowledge cocreation tools (means) on offer with RRI ends (topics) on demand, delivering the necessary design, implementation and evaluation supports to frame dialogues, education material and learning processes.
The meeting resulted in several exchanges between the participants on the possibilities for prototype exercises within their own projects and new cooperation opportunities with a view to launching the pilot phase of the learning hub.
