The Regional Program Political Dialogue South Mediterranean of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung and the Euro-Mediterranean Economists Association EMEA jointly organised on 15 December 2020 the online seminar entitled “The impact of COVID-19 on the South Med region”.
The objective of the event was to provide an overview and update on the potential impact of COVID-19 on the economy, the healthcare sector and the social status in the MENA region.
The President of EMEA, Prof. Rym Ayadi, presented the latest publication of the regional program, “Assessing resilience of the healthcare systems in the Mediterranean”, which was jointly conducted by the Regional Program Political Dialogue South Mediterranean of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung and the Euro-Mediterranean Economists Association EMEA.
Prof. Ayadi highlighted that “countries in the South and East Mediterranean must adopt medium to long plans, to enhance their healthcare capabilities in terms of early warning, crisis management and recovery”
