The Euro-Mediterranean Economists Association – EMEA, participated at the Global Think Tank Summit 2019 “Managing Global Turbulence and Transitions: The Role of Think Tanks”. EMEA was represented by George Christopoulos, its communications officer.
The event took place in Rio in Rio de Janeiro, 11-13 December 2019, and was co-hosted and co-organized by the FGV – Fundação Getulio Vargas and the Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program (TTCSP), University of Pennsylvania.
The Summit examined the key policy issues facing policymakers and the public and the strategic and operational challenges facing think tanks. It was largest global gathering of think tanks with over 150 executives and scholars from every region of the world meeting in Rio.
