EMEA President Prof. Rym Ayadi participated with at the Fourth Economic Forum Brazil & Arab Countries which was held by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Union of Arab Chambers and supported by the League of Arab States. The event took place on 4 July 2022, in hybrid format.
In her recorded intervention for the session “Corporate governance in International Operations” Prof. Ayadi underlined: “To be drivers of a transformative scenario towards transparent, responsible, inclusive and sustainable development, international companies should embed these principles in their corporate governance framework and measure the achievement with the appropriate disclosed metrics.”
Participants of the session included Sergio Gusmão Suchodolski – President of Desenvolve SP, Lorival Luz – Global CEO at BRF, Ali Hussein El Zoghbi – Vice-president at FAMBRAS, Ricardo Santin – President at ABPA, Rania A. Al-Mashat – Minister of the International Cooperation – Arab Republic of Egypt, and Sueme Mori Andrade – Director of the Foreign Relations of the Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock in Brazil.
The session was moderated by Ahmed Shihab-Eldin – Journalist Palestine. It examined what would be the best practices adopted by internationally competitive companies, and the opportunities and challenges to adopt good practices for international governance.
