The International Workshop on Financial System Architecture and Stability (IWFSAS) provides a forum for academic researchers, practitioners and policy makers to discuss current issues related to the structure and design of financial systems and their impact on macro-financial stability and sustainable economic growth.
The fifth IWFSAS conference offers leading academics, practitioners and policymakers the opportunity to discuss innovative research on a range of topics related to climate risk and sustainable finance. Given the impact of the pandemic on the world economy and the multiple calls for a “green recovery”, the topic of this year’s conference remains of high importance. Keynote speaker of the event is Beata Javorcik Chief Economist, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Professor of Economics, University of Oxford, and Director at CEPR.
This year’s IWFSAS meeting is hosted by the Centre for Banking Research at the Business School of the CIty University of London, in collaboration with the Gustavson School of Business at the University of Victoria and the Euro-Mediterranean Economists Association (EMEA). Due to the continued Covid-19 emergency and the need for social distancing, the IWFSAS 2020 conference will take place online on 10-11 September 2020.
