The Founding President of EMEA and Director of EMNES, Prof. Rym Ayadi, participated to the Conference “Economic Policies, Trade Integration and Sustainable Job Creation: A View from the Mediterranean Countries” which took place in Tunis on 16.11.18. The event was organised by the Banco de España and the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed) with the support of the Central Bank of Tunisia.
Prof Ayadi participated to the session “Economic policies and sustainable job creation” along with Aurèlia Mañé, Professor, University of Barcelona, and Radhi Meddeb, President and General Manager, COMETE Engineering. The session was chaired by Rachid Maaninou, Deputy Secretary General, Business Development and Employment, Secretariat of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM). Prof. Rym Ayadi highlighted that “Sustainable job creation cannot be achieved without fundamental structural reforms of the institutions and supply and demand sides of the labour markets in the MENA countries”
