The Euro-Mediterranean Economists Association – EMEA and the Austrian Paneuropean Movement co-organised the third international conference of the project Citizens Looking for Multidimensional Migration Challenges (CITIMIG): “Migrations in the Light of Socio-Economic Perspective“, on 2-3 October 2020.
The President of EMEA, Prof. Rym Ayadi, delivered the keynote speech of the event, highlighting that “while the pandemic has created heightened risks for more inequality, food insecurity and poverty, it is essential to enhance cooperation, further partnerships for shared prosperity and achieving peace in the Mediterranean and Africa – and to activate a regional solidarity mechanism to avoid the scenario of further disruptions, conflicts and destruction of value”.
