We are happy to announce that EMNES Director for Egypt, Dr. Chahir Zaki, was among the 40 researchers chosen by the African Academy of Sciences (AAS) for the sixth cohort of the Affiliates Membership Programme, which is designed to recognise, mentor and develop early career researchers into world class research leaders. The 40 Affiliates were selected from over 200 competitive applicants who responded to the 2020 Call for AAS Affiliates.
Dr. Chahir Zaki is an Associate Professor of Economics at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University, and Director of the French section at the faculty. He works also for the Economic Research Forum (Cairo, Egypt) as a part-time Senior Economist and as a consultant for several international organization (the World Bank and the International Trade Center (UNCTAD-WTO, Geneva) and ESCWA).
