Dr Monia Ghazali, assistant Professor at ESSECT, University of Tunis, and researcher at the Euro-Mediterranean Network for Economic Studies – EMNES, presented the Network during the Conference “Rethinking the Euro-Mediterranean cultural partnership” which took place at Cité de la Culture Tunis on 16-17.11.19.
Dr Ghazali highlighted the following:
EMNES involves 70 researchers in Economics from 18 Research Institutions from the two shores of the Mediterranean and it is a Network co-funded by the European Commission.
EMNES aims to contribute, through working papers (targeting scientific excellency) and decision-makers-oriented policy briefs, to build an inclusive and sustainable socio-economic model in the region, focused on women participation and youth employment.
EMNES contributes to boost youth employment by providing economic-policy recommendations on order to enhance innovative, social and socially responsible entrepreneurship and MSMEs growth. Furthermore, EMNES plans to launch an Academy for Young Entrepreneurs, a new project targeting to provide support and coaching to young entrepreneurs and project initiators.
