Athar Elnagger is an economics PhD candidate at the German University in Cairo. Her current research focuses on exchange rate pass-through, inflation, monetary policy and the role of monetary institutional quality in MENA region and emerging economies.
Her research interest spans across the fields of financial economics, monetary policy and macroeconomics.
Athar also holds the position of assistant lecturer at economics department at the German University in Cairo. She obtained her M.Sc. from Humboldt University of Berlin majoring in financial economics and B.Sc. from German University in Cairo majoring in economics and finance.
